Predeanu, S. Pusz, J. Ribeiro, S. Rodrigues, A.K. Singh, I. Suárez-Ruiz, I. Sýkorová, N.J. Wagner, D. Životić (2020)Self-heating of coal waste is a major problem in the leading coal-producing and consuming countries, independent of the recent or past coal exploitation history. The phenomenon of self-heating is dependent on many factors such as the properties of organic matter (maceral composition and rank), moisture and pyrite content, climate effects, and storage conditions (shape of the dump or compaction of the coal waste). Once deposited, coal waste undergoes oxidation, which can lead to self- heating with the overall temperatures ...M. Misz-Kennan, J. Kus, D. Flores, C. Avila, Z. Büçkün, N. Choudhury, K. Micro- to nanoscale textures of gold in arsenopyrite and scorodite from the As-Au-Bi assemblage of Drenjak locality (Serbia)
Ivana Jelić, Janez Zavašnik, Marina Lazarov, Alena Zdravković, Sabina Kovač, Jovica Stojanović, Aleksandar Pačevski (2023)Arsenopyrite and pyrite are important carriers of Au that is present in the form of microscopic and “invisible” gold. Such gold can be expected to be released upon the process of oxidation of these sulfides. In studied gold mineralization at Drenjak, related to the granitoids of the Oligocene-Miocene Kopaonik Ore District, the main arsenopyrite-pyrite-(bismuthinite) sulfide assemblage was formed in the quartz bodies and partly replaced by scorodite (FeAsO4·2H2O) and Bi-arsenate. With only up to 5 ppm of gold recorded ...Ivana Jelić, Janez Zavašnik, Marina Lazarov, Alena Zdravković, Sabina Kovač, Jovica Stojanović, Aleksandar Pačevski. Simple 2D gravity–density inversion for the modeling of the basin basement: example from the Banat area, Serbia
We have developed a technique to calculate lateral density distribution of the sedimentary basin basement by combining linear gravity–density inversion and 2D forward modeling. The procedure requires gravity anomaly data, depth-to-basement data and density data for the sediments (density–depth distribution). Gravity efect of density variations in the basement was extracted from the total gravity anomaly by removing the joint efect of the sediments with vertical density variations and homogeneous basement of average density contrast (calculated by 2D modeling). Gravity ...Ivana Vasiljević, Snežana Ignjatović, Dragana Đurić.
