Damage quantification of built stone on Dark Gate (Belgrade, Serbia): sample of damage index application for decay rate evaluation
The Dark Gate is the monument of culture, part of the cultural and historical complex of the Belgrade Fortress. It is constructed of limestone blocks that after 270 years of exposure to environmental conditions and different anthropogenic influences show wide ranges of decay forms. During 2007, detail registration of all built limestone microfacies and weathering forms was done using tools of monument mapping. A correlation scheme ‘‘intensity– damage category’’ was made according to the type, intensity, and distribution of ...... demands, lack of maintenance, and inappropriate past treatments present challenges for the conservation of stone buildings, structures and objects. Effects and rate of stone decay depend on these factors acting independently or more frequently together in different combinations, as well as of the ...
... the properties of the stone itself, creating stresses that accumulate within stonework over time. Therefore, the rate of decay and weathering effects can vary considerably, and direct causal connection is not easy to define. Precise problem diagnosis is a first and crucial step in order to adequately ...

Design and drilling of wells in formations with high pressure
Vojin Solomun (2024)Objectives of this Thesis are to: - Develop an awareness of the challenges presented from elevated temperatures and pressures in well construction. - Learn the key differences between ―normal‖ condition wells and HPHT wells. - Understand some of the indicators of thermal- and pressure-related problems. - Understand the responses which may be made to mitigate high pressure and high temperature ,,HPHT‘‘ challenges while drilling wells. HPHT wells are an unavoidable consequence of the ever expanding search for oil and gas resources around the world. As wells are ...... drilling etc.), especially when we are speaking about HPHT wells. Available technological procedures for capturing CO2 in the industrial and power generation sectors
Climate change is a major environmental issue caused by anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases. Capturing CO2 and storing it in suitable geological formations is one of the main technological solutions that can provide mitigation of CO2 emission into the atmosphere. Capturing CO2 represents the first phase in process of carbon capture and storage, and includes the application of various technologies for the separation of CO2 produced in the energy and industrial sectors. There are four main systems for capturing ...Lola Tomić, Vesna Karović Maričić, Dušan Danilović, Branko Leković, Miroslav Crnogorac. Life Cycle Assessment of Individual Wood Biomass Heating Systems in Households
The use of solid fuels (wood biomass and coal) for heating of households continues to be common practice within European countries. Solid fuel combustion in households contributes more than 46% to total emissions of fine particulate matter. In this study, a life-cycle assessment (LCA) of firewood-based and pellet-based heating systems is performed. These two systems represent two different types of individual wood biomass heating systems. In the case of the firewood-based heating systems, it is analyzed a typical stove ...Boban Pavlović, Dejan Ivezić, Marija Živković. Using gravity data to define structural correlation affecting the formation of Neogene basins
A gravity survey can help to define the structural correlation in the study area. The structures that have influenced the development of Neogene basins can be defined using gravity data. By applying mathematical transformations to gravity data, the geological structures (faults, nappes, etc.) that impacted the formation of Neogene basins can be defined. We have taken the part of the Dinarides as the test region. The paper presents the results obtained using the procedure residual, vertical gradient, and total ...Snežana Ignjatović, Ivana Vasiljević, Branisav Sretković, Milanka Negovanović. Equilibrium and kinetic studies of the reactions between [Ru(terpy)(bipy)Cl]Cl complex and biologically important N-donor ligands
Bioleaching Process for Copper Extraction from Waste in Alkaline and Acid Medium
Flotation wastes are becoming a valuable secondary raw material and source of many metals and semimetals worldwide with the possibilities of industrial recycling. The flotation tailings contain oxide and sulfide minerals that have not been sufficiently stabilized and form acidic mine waters, which in turn contaminate groundwater, rivers, and reservoi6sediments. An effective way to recycle these mine wastes is to recover the metals through leaching. While the focus is on acid bioleaching by iron- and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria, alkaline leaching, ...Ivica Ristović, Darina Štyriaková, Iveta Štyriaková, Jaroslav Šuba, Emilija Širadović.
Iz tog razloga, veoma je važna primena savremenih optimizacionih alata, koji u značajnoj meri mogu olakšati celokupan ...... are particularly pronounced in open pit coal mines, and can significantly increase the degree of uncertainty of the mining project, or cause side effects in terms of business profitability. Keyword-Based Search on Bilingual Digital Libraries
This paper outlines the main features of Biblisha, a tool that offers various possibilities of enhancing queries submitted to large collections of aligned parallel text residing in bilingual digital library. Biblishsa supports keyword queries as an intuitive way of specifying information needs. The keyword queries initiated, in Serbian or English, can be expanded, both semantically, morphologically and in other language, using different supporting monolingual and bilingual resources. Terminological and lexical resources are of various types, such as wordnets, electronic ...... this section, we give a brief overview of previous work related to the search of bilingual parallel documents and the analysis of the query expansion effects.
