Interactions of Copper(II) Complexes of some Schiff base ligands with calf thymus DNA and bovine serum albumin
Joni prelaznih metala u kombinaciji sa različitim ligandima nude veliki broj mogućnosti za ispitivanje potencijalnih bioaktivnosti. Među jonima prelaznih metala, bakar je poznat kao endogeni metal za ljude, sa karakterističnim biološkim redoks aktivnostima i relativno jakim afinitetom za nukleobaze. Kompleksi bakra ispoljavaju svoju antitumornu aktivnost na nekoliko različitih načina, generišu veliku količinu ROS, što uzrokuje oksidativno oštećenje mitohondrija i biomakromolekula. Anisotropic grossular–andradite garnets: Evidence of two stage skarn evolution from Rudnik, Central Serbia
This paper presents LA-ICP-MS data for garnets from the Rudnik skarn deposit (Serbia), which range from Grs45–58Adr40–52Alm2–3 in the core and Adr70–97Grs2–29Sps1 in the rim displaying anisotropy and zoning. In spite of wide compositional variations the garnets near the end-member of andradite (Adr > 90) are generally isotropic. Fe-rich rims exhibit LREE depletion and flat HREE pattern with weak negative Eu anomaly, including higher As and W contents. Microemulsion with aromatic oil as cleaner media for electropolymerisation
Abstract Microemulsion polymerization is widely used as a cleaner alternative way to prepare intrinsically conductive polymers. We studied isothermal phase diagrams for microemulsions of the electropolymerizable heterocyclic aromatic oil 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT), aqueous LiClO4 solution and alkyl polyethoxylate. Our specific goal was to assess the effect of LiClO4 salt on the phase behaviour. The phase behaviour was characterized by stepwise titration and microscopic analyses. Karst aquifer impact on the formation of surface runoff: case study of the Resava River catchment, Serbia

Cytotoxic activity of tetradentate Schiff Base Copper(II) complexes
Istraživanje kompleksa bakra kao potencijalnih antikancerogenih agenasa nudi ohrabrujuće perspektive u odnosu na komplekse platine (II) računajući na smanjenu toksičnost, novi mehanizam delovanja, različit spektar aktivnosti i perspektivu neunakrsne rezistencije. Kompleksi Šifovih baza bakra(II) koji sadrže tetradentatne ligande acac2en tipa (acac2en (1); tfacac2en (3), acactfacacen (4), acacphacacen (6)) pokazali su važnu antioksidativnu aktivnost, visok potencijal za interakciju sa HSA i DNK, u prethodnim studijama. Malathion-induced inhibition of human plasma cholinesterase studied by the fluorescence spectroscopy method
The in vitro effect of technical grade malathion was assessed via the kinetic parameters of human plasma butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) using N-methylindoxyl acetate as a substrate for BChE. An inhibitor kinetics study demonstrated the existence of a biphasic inhibition curve, indicating high- and low-affinity binding sites of malathion. The IC50 values as calculated from the experimental inhibition curves were 1.33 × 10–9 and 1.48 × 10–5 M for the high- and low-affinity binding sites, respectively; Hill’s analysis gave 1.29 × ...V.
