Geotechnical Conditions for Construction of Savski Trg Metro Station as a Part of the Belgrade Metro Line One
In order to solve serious traffic congestion in Belgrade, a number of studies regarding the Belgrade Metro construction have been carried out since 1973. However, only in 2019, the routes of the future metro lines 1 and 2 were de-fined as a part of the General Metro Construction Project. The lines are de-signed to intersect at the location of Sava Square, where an interchange met-ro station will be built. It represents a complex geotechnical structure consist-ing of three different ...Nemanja Stanic, Dragoslav Rakic, Josip Isek, Slavoljub Simic. The role of non-covalent intermolecular interactions on the diversity of crystal packing in supramolecular dihalopyridine–silver(i) nitrate complexes
Sunčica Roca, Lucija Hok, Robert Vianello, Mladen Borovina, Marijana Đaković, Ljiljana Karanović, Dražen Vikić-Topić, Zora Popović (2020)Six novel 1 : 2 complexes of silver(I) nitrate with 2,5-, 2,6- and 3,5-dihalopyridines (halo stands for chlorine and bromine) were prepared by the reaction of an aqueous solution of AgNO3 and the corresponding pyridine derivative in a water–alcohol solution. In spite of having analogous empirical formulae, they reveal intriguing structural differences, except [Ag(NO3)(2,5-Cl2py)2]n (1) and [Ag(NO3)(2,5-Br2py)2]n (4), which are isostructural. In contrast, [Ag(NO3)(3,5-Cl2py)2]2 (3) is dimeric, while its Br analogue [Ag(NO3)(3,5-Br2py)2]n (6) is polymeric in nature, being the ...Sunčica Roca, Lucija Hok, Robert Vianello, Mladen Borovina, Marijana Đaković, Ljiljana Karanović, Dražen Vikić-Topić, Zora Popović. Development and Application of Methodology for Quantification of Overbreaks in Hard Rock Tunnel Construction
A methodology for determining overbreaks in hard rock tunnel construction using the drill-and-blast technique is presented in this paper. The methodology was developed for and applied to crystalline medium- to thick-bedded limestone, but it can be used in any jointed hard rock mass. Overbreaks are inevitable in hard rock tunnelling in a low-confinement environment (shallow tunnels up to several hundred meters deep) as a result of wedge failures along unfavourably oriented discontinuities caused by blasting. It is widely accepted ...hard rock, drill-and-blast, geological overbreak, technological overbreak, stability criterion, discontinuity orientation, tunnel constructionZoran Berisavljević, Dragoljub Bajić, Vojkan Jovičić. Malathion-induced inhibition of human plasma cholinesterase studied by the fluorescence spectroscopy method
The in vitro effect of technical grade malathion was assessed via the kinetic parameters of human plasma butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) using N-methylindoxyl acetate as a substrate for BChE. An inhibitor kinetics study demonstrated the existence of a biphasic inhibition curve, indicating high- and low-affinity binding sites of malathion. The IC50 values as calculated from the experimental inhibition curves were 1.33 × 10–9 and 1.48 × 10–5 M for the high- and low-affinity binding sites, respectively; Hill’s analysis gave 1.29 × ...V. The influence of Al3+ion on porcine pepsin activity<i>in vitro</i>
The in vitro effect of Al3þ ions in the concentration range 1.7·1026M–8.7·1023M on pepsin activity at pH 2, via kinetic parameters and its electrophoretic mobility was evaluated. Kinetic study demonstrated the existence of an activation effect of Al3þ at pH 2 on pepsin molecule. Effectiveness Analysis of Different Bucket-wheel Excavators
Coal production in open-pit lignite mines in the Republic of Serbia is performed with continuous work systems. In addition to coal production, the same systems are used for the exploitation of large quantities of overburden. According to the reliability concept, continuous systems are in linear connection. If the failure occurs in one part of the system, that will produce a downtime of the entire system. The initial and most important factor of continuous systems is the bucket-wheel excavator. A Model for Determining the Dependability of Continuous Subsystems in Coal Mines Using the Fuzzy Logic Approach
Nikola Stanić, Miljan Gomilanović, Petar Marković, Daniel Krzanović, Aleksandar Doderović, Saša Stepanović (2024)This study presents a unique model for assessing the dependability of continuous parts of combined systems in open-pit mining through the application of fuzzy logic. Continuous sub-systems as part of the combined system of coal exploitation in surface mines have the basic function of ensuring safe operation, high capacity with high reliability, and low costs. These subsystems are usually part of the thermal power plant’s coal supply system and ensure stable fuel supply. The model integrates various independent partial ...fuzzy logic, max-min composition, continuous part of combined system (CCS), open pit, mining, dependabilityNikola Stanić, Miljan Gomilanović, Petar Marković, Daniel Krzanović, Aleksandar Doderović, Saša Stepanović.
