High-cellulose content of in-situ Miocene fossil tree stumps and trunks from Lusatia lignite mining district, Federal Republic of Germany

Mioz¨aner Fl¨ozkomplex) holds many in-situ, not permineralised fossil tree stumps and trunks with high-cellulose contents. The state of preservation of a set of in-situ fossil trees (Taxodioxylon cryptomerioides, Sciadopityoxylon wettsteinii, and Quasisequoioxylon piskowitzense) collected from three open-cast mines (Welzow-Süd, Meuro, and Piskowitz) in Lusatia lignite mining district, Federal Republic of Germany was investigated using a multi-method research schema. Geotehnički efekti razaranja komunalnog otpada različitim postupcima zbijanja
Jovana M. Janković Pantić (2022)Odlaganje otpada na komunalne deponije predstavlja osnovni način zbrinjavanja otpada u Srbiji. Kako bi se prostor za deponovanje materijala racionalno koristio potrebno ga je svakodnevno zbijati sa unapred definisanom količinom vode koja se dodaje. Dobro zbijeni komunalni otpad zauzima manju zapreminu i omogućuje sigurnije skladištenje, pa je korisno prethodno laboratorijski odrediti parametre zbijanja: maksimalnu suvu zapreminsku težinu (dmax) i optimalnu vlažnost (wopt). The first record of nautiloids (Cenoceras intermedius) from the early Pliensbachian of Rgotina, (Getic nappe, eastern Serbia)
Cenoceras intermedius (J. Sowerby) is one of the most widespread species among the Early Jurassic nautiloid fauna and its geological range still controversial up to the present day. The specimen of Cenoceras intermedius from the sandy bioclastic limestones of Rgotina (Getic nappe of eastern Serbia), is a large half conch representing the phragmocone. Viewing our findings in light of previous results suggests the main morphological changes occurred during the ontogenetic evolution. Geoloski profil planine Avale (severna Šumadija) - uvid u litostratigrafiju i tektonske strukture
Mezozojske formacije Šumadije dele tektonsko-stratigrafsku evoluciju južnijih delova suture jedinica Adrijskog i Evropskog afiniteta, uključujući gornjojursku obdukciju, krednu subdukciju i paleogenu kontinentalnu koliziju. Finalni rezultat dugovremene evolucije u geodinamički složenom ambijentu su komplikovani tektonski i litostratigrafski odnosi različitih mezozojskih formacija suture. Geološki profil kroz planinu Avalu omogućava uvid u skoro potpunu sukcesiju mezozojskih formacija i prostorne pozicije i kinematiku značajnih tektonskih struktura najsevernijih segmenata suture u Šumadiji. Overview of the hydrogeological investigations of recently discovered world class deposits in Serbia
Europe industry has growing concerns on availability of the raw materials. To address this challenge, the European Commission has created a list of critical raw materials for the EU, launched EIT Raw Materials initiative, and continuously support research projects (like INTRAW, UNEXMIN etc.) with the aim of reducing the dependency and meeting growing demands. Groundwater vulnerability assessment methods are continuously being developed and existing methods are very often modified to provide better simulation of natural protection conditions and more objective results.
