High-resolution sequence stratigraphy of carbonates - theory and examples
Као најпогоднији седименти за овај тип истраживања су се показали карбонати јер су осетљиви на еустатичке промене, а основе секвенционе стратиграфије ...... carbonate sequence stratigraphy which is demonstrated through several up-to-date papers dealing with Jurassic-Cretaceous carbonates deposited on Tethyan platforms. Dehydroicetexanes in sediments and crude oils: Possible markers for Cupressoideae
Hans Peter Nytoft, Geir Kildahl-Andersen, Sofie Lindström, Frode Rise, Achim Bechtel, Danica Mitrović, Nataša Đoković, Dragana Životić, Ksenija A. Stojanović (2019)Two previously unidentified dehydroabietane isomers were isolated from Miocene Serbian lignite and Rhaetian (Late Triassic) coaly mudstones from South Sweden and characterized using NMRspectroscopy as cis- and trans-dehydroicetexane. Both have a 9(10?20)-abeo-abietane or icetexane skeleton, consisting of a 6-7-6 tricyclic framework with seven carbons in ring B instead of the usual six in common diterpanes of the abietane-type. Dehydroicetexanes can be detected using GC-MS-MS in m/z 270?146 chromatograms without interference from dehydroabietane or other isomers. Clockwise vertical-axis rotation in the West Vardar zone of Serbia: Tectonic implications
The Vardar-Tethyan mega-suture between the Eurasian and Adria (Gondwana) margins comprises remnants of oceanic lithosphere of Neotethys and distal parts of the adjacent continental margins including unconformable Late Cretaceous sedimentary cover and Cenozoic igneous rocks of post-obduction age. This study provides kinematic constraints for displacements and rotations affecting the Serbian part of the West Vardar and Jadar-Kopaonik units after the closure of the Neotethyan (= Sava) Ocean. The targets of the paleomagnetic research were Late Cretaceous sediments representing an ...... (Studenica) and eastern (Kopaonik) thrust sheet (Fig. 3). Geomorfološke posledice poplava 2014. godine u karstu Dževrinske grede (istočna Srbija)
The year 2014 was the year of extremely large floods in Serbia. The territories of municipalities Kladovo and Negotin, along the Danube course in Eastern Serbia, were among the worst affected, mostly by flash floods. The karst ridge of Dževrinska Greda, a typical contact karst and stripe karst environment formed within Upper Jurassic limestones, suffered significant morphological changes in terms of heavy washout of sediments on one hand (in fluviokarstic gorges and active cave passages), and on the other ...Jelena Ćalić, Dejan Jeremić, Ana Mladenović. The first record of nautiloids (Cenoceras intermedius) from the early Pliensbachian of Rgotina, (Getic nappe, eastern Serbia)
Cenoceras intermedius (J. Sowerby) is one of the most widespread species among the Early Jurassic nautiloid fauna and its geological range still controversial up to the present day. Late and post-collisional tectonic evolution of the Adria-Europe suture in the Vardar Zone
The Vardar Zone is a product of the Triassic-Jurassic opening of the Neotethys, Jurassic obduction, Late Cretaceous/Paleogene consumption of the oceanic crust and continental collision. During the last process, the Eastern Vardar Zone was thrust over the Central and eventually both onto the Western Vardar Zone. The present paleomagnetic and structural study provided new results from the first two zones in the Belgrade area. The younger set of data, together with published ones from the third zone, provide firm ...Emő Márton, Marinko Toljić, Vesna Cvetkov.
