Defining structural correlation using of total horizontal gradient
Gravity data can help to define the structural correlation along significant vertical shifts. The different procedures of mathematical transformations on gravity data are applied to define structural correlations. The paper presents the results obtained using the procedure total horizontal gradient on gravity data. The application of the total horizontal gradient helped to detect contacts with a large dip angle (vertical or subvertical contacts), which can be interpreted as faults. The study area located in the wider area of the ...Snežana Ignjatović, Ivana Vasiljević, Milanka Negovanović. It-Sr-NER: Web Services for Recognizing and Linking Named Entities in Text and Displaying Them on a Web Map
The paper will present the results of the project `“It-Sr-NER: Web services for named entities recognition, linking and mapping,” in which teams from the University of Turin and the Society for Language Resources and Technologies JeRTeh participated, and whose goal was the development of the It-Sr-NER web service for named entity annotations in the text and displaying them on the map. Named entities in these services are names of persons, places, organizations, demonyms (ethnicities), events and works of art.Olja Perišić, Ranka Stanković, Milica Ikonić Nešić, Mihailo Škorić. An Italian-Serbian Sentence Aligned Parallel Literary Corpus
This article presents the construction and relevance of an Italian-Serbian sentence-aligned parallel corpus, delving into the aligned sentences in order to facilitate effective translation between the two languages. The parallel corpus serves as a valuable resource for language experts, researchers, and language enthusiasts, fostering a deeper understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural expressions. By bridging the gap between Serbian and Italian, this corpus opens new avenues for cross-cultural communication and collaboration, and ultimately contributes to the improvement of language-related ...Saša Moderc, Ranka Stanković, Aleksandra Tomašević, Mihailo Škorić. Projecting short to medium-term effects of carbon emissions trading on Serbia's GDP
Boban Pavlović, Nikola Trtica (2024)This paper presents an approach to assess the short to medium-term effects of the Emissions Trading System (ETS), an economic and climate policy instrument aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, on GDP from the expenditure side. The analysis focuses on Serbia’s electricity sector, which relies heavily on lignite-based pro duction dominated by state-owned enterprises. The obtained projections suggest that in the short term, the introduction of an ETS may lead to slower GDP growth compared to official forecasts. However, ...Boban Pavlović, Nikola Trtica. Design and drilling of wells in formations with high pressure
Vojin Solomun (2024)Objectives of this Thesis are to: - Develop an awareness of the challenges presented from elevated temperatures and pressures in well construction. - Learn the key differences between ―normal‖ condition wells and HPHT wells. - Understand some of the indicators of thermal- and pressure-related problems. - Understand the responses which may be made to mitigate high pressure and high temperature ,,HPHT‘‘ challenges while drilling wells. HPHT wells are an unavoidable consequence of the ever expanding search for oil and gas resources around the world. As wells are ...Vojin Solomun. Semantic Textual Similarity of Courses Based on Text Embeddings
This paper explores the application of textual embeddings to measure semantic similarity between educational courses’ curriculums, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the next faculty accreditation. Leveraging state-of-the-art natural language processing techniques, we employ pre-trained embeddings to capture the semantic meaning of course descriptions. Our methodology involves transforming course curriculum texts into high-dimensional vector representations, enabling efficient and meaningful comparisons. We evaluate the proposed approach on a diverse dataset of course descriptions, employing established benchmarks for semantic textual similarity ...Olivera Kitanović, Aleksandra Tomašević, Mihailo Škorić, Ranka Stanković, Ljiljana Kolonja. Keyword-Based Search on Bilingual Digital Libraries
This paper outlines the main features of Biblisha, a tool that offers various possibilities of enhancing queries submitted to large collections of aligned parallel text residing in bilingual digital library. Biblishsa supports keyword queries as an intuitive way of specifying information needs. The keyword queries initiated, in Serbian or English, can be expanded, both semantically, morphologically and in other language, using different supporting monolingual and bilingual resources. Terminological and lexical resources are of various types, such as wordnets, electronic ...Ranka Stanković, Cvetana Krstev, Duško Vitas, Nikola Vulović, Olivera Kitanović. Automatic construction of a morphological dictionary of multi-word units
The development of a comprehensive morphological dictionary of multi-word units for Serbian is a very demanding task, due to the complexity of Serbian morphology. Manual production of such a dictionary proved to be extremely time-consuming. In this paper we present a procedure that automatically produces dictionary lemmas for a given list of multi-word units. To accomplish this task the procedure relies on data in e-dictionaries of Serbian simple words, which are already well developed. Using Lexical Resources for Irony and Sarcasm Classification
The paper presents a language dependent model for classification of statements into ironic and non-ironic. The model uses various language resources: morphological dictionaries, sentiment lexicon, lexicon of markers and a WordNet based ontology. This approach uses various features: antonymous pairs obtained using the reasoning rules over the Serbian WordNet ontology (R), antonymous pairs in which one member has positive sentiment polarity (PPR), polarity of positive sentiment words (PSP), ordered sequence of sentiment tags (OSA), Part-of-Speech tags of words (POS) ...Miljana Mladenović, Cvetana Krstev, Jelena Mitrović, Ranka Stanković. Laboratory testing of fly ash
Fly ash is one of the most common waste materials created by burning of coal. It is composed of smaller particles, consisting mainly of aluminosilicate glass, mullite and quartz, which are collected by electrostatic separators (filter) of gaseous products arising from the combustion of coal. This paper presents the pozzolanic properties, mechanical properties, chemical and mineral composition of fly ash obtained in the combustion process in a power plant Nikola Tesla A (PPNT A) with the addition of a ...chemical composition, fly ash, mechanical properties, mineral properties, pozzolanic properties, X-ray diffractionMiloš Šešlija, Aleksandra Rosić, Nebojša Radović, Milinko Vasić, Mitar Đogo, Milovan Jotić.
