A new evidence for pachyostotic snake from Turonian of Bosnia-Herzegovina
The number of nonunimodular roots of a reciprocal polynomial
Dragan Stankov (2023)We introduce a sequence Pd of monic reciprocal polynomials with integer coefficients having the central coefficients fixed as well as the peripheral coefficients. We prove that the ratio of the number of nonunimodular roots of Pd to its degree d has a limit L when d tends to infinity. We show that if the coefficients of a polynomial can be arbitrarily large in modulus then L can be arbitrarily close to 0. It seems reasonable to believe that if ...Algebraic integer, the house of algebraic integer, maximal modulus, reciprocal polynomial, primitive polynomial, Schinzel-Zassenhaus conjecture, Mahler measure, method of least squares, cyclotomic polynomialsDragan Stankov. Analysis of the exhaust emissions inventory from auxiliary mining machines
Stevan Đenadić, Aleksandar Mirković, Jovana Mitrović, Filip Miletić, Predrag Jovančić, Dragan Ignjatović (2023)Open-pit coal mines are equipped with a large number of mining machines and vehicles with diesel engines. Due to common daily operation of these machines and vehicles large amounts of exhaust gases which contain numerous pollutants are emitted into the atmosphere. The demand to reduce air pollution induced the activities in developed countries to map and calculate all gases emitted by industries to formulate and select adequate preventive activities. In collaboration with machine manufacturers, emission standards for off-road machines ...Stevan Đenadić, Aleksandar Mirković, Jovana Mitrović, Filip Miletić, Predrag Jovančić, Dragan Ignjatović. Coal: exploration, reserves, and utilization
Dragana Životić, Gligor Jovanovski, Vladimir Simić, Ivan Boev, Vesna Cvetkov, Petre Makreski, Dušan Polomčić, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac (2024)Coal exploration is a very demanding task, highly dependent on geological and economic factors and the utilization of coal. This lecture text includes information on a variety of geological techniques used in the exploration of coal and coal-bearing sequences, as well as on the calculation, assessment, classification, and reporting of coal resources and reserves. The main features of coal utilization and some environmental aspects are explained briefly. Special attention is paid to the by-products of coal utilization, their uses, ... Comparation of photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanning methods for erosion monitoring in the area of Devil’s Town: project “Demonitor”
Project "Devils’ town Erosion MONITORing - DEMONITOR" involves the monitoring of accessible earth pillars in the area of Devil’s town, by using a combination of several non‐invasive methods. Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and photogrammetric imaging with unmanned aircraft (UAV) as a platform showed as great solutions for 3D modeling of this site and erosion monitoring. In this work it is shown that using manual free flight mode for imaging with UAV gave much better results than the missions performed ...Brodić Nenad, Samardžić-Petrović Mileva, Đurić Dragana, Martinenko Anastasija.
