    Arsenopirit, FeAsS je čest pratilac polimetaličnih orudnjenja Šumadijsko-kopaoničke oblasti. Jedan je od sulfida koji u najvećoj meri koncentriše zlato. Nepoželjan je u rudama jer njegovom oksidacijom na jalovištima može doći do oslobađanja arsena koji spada u elemente toksične za životnu sredinu.
