Filling of dolines with aeolian sediments in the high-mountain karst of the Dinarides (Mt. Durmitor, Montenegro)
Filling of dolines with aeolian sediments, one of the less frequently described ways in which they are filled, is analysed in the present study on an example of a doline in the high-mountain karst of the Dinarides. There is a series of deep dolines on a broad ridge (about 2450 m a.s.l.) on Mt. Durmitor (Montenegro) in the southeastern part of the Dinarides. The accumulation of very fine-grained sand that almost completely fills one of the dolines was analysed. ...Mirela Djurović, Violeta Gajić, Predrag Djurović. Adaptive neuro-fuzzy prediction of operation of the bucket wheel drive based on wear of cutting elements
The capacity of the rotor excavator depends largely on the operation of the subsystem for digging. There is a great contribution to the correct and sharp teeth when the capacity is the highest. In the function of time, the teeth become clogged due to abrasive wear, or changes in their geometric shape. To analyze the bucket wheel drive in depend on wear of the cutting elements in this study adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) approach was implemented. ANFIS ...Filip Miletić, Predrag D. Correlation Between Dynamic CBR and Compaction and Bearing Capacity of Pavement Foundation Layers
This paper presents a dynamic California Bearing Ratio (CBRd) device that can be used on a prepared pavement foundation layer to obtain a certain parameter of the tested material in the laboratory and in situ in a direct and fast way. For the selected natural material (gravel), it is shown that the laboratory CBRd can be used to estimate the compaction and bearing capacity, because it correlates well with the parameters of the standard and modifed Proctor compaction tests. ...korelacija parametara, donji slojevi saobraćajnica, laboratorijska i terenska ispitivanja, dinamički kalifornijski indeks nosivosti CBRd... method worldwide. The ‘Umka’ landslide
We present an in-depth landslide map of the ‘Umka’ landslide near Belgrade, Serbia, at a scale of 1:5000. The map delineates elements at risk, primarily buildings and road infrastructure impacted by the landslide displacements of several cm per year, introduced during frequent reactivation stages. The Main map results from a survey of over 350 buildings and more than 7 km of state and local roads. The acquisition techniques included engineering geological field mapping, building survey, and visual interpretation of ...rizik od klizišta, elementi rizika, kartiranje pomoću drona, ispitivanje objekata, geotehnički monitoringUroš Đurić, Dragana Đurić, Miloš Marjanović, Biljana Abolmasov, Ivana Vasiljević. Clockwise vertical-axis rotation in the West Vardar zone of Serbia: Tectonic implications
The Vardar-Tethyan mega-suture between the Eurasian and Adria (Gondwana) margins comprises remnants of oceanic lithosphere of Neotethys and distal parts of the adjacent continental margins including unconformable Late Cretaceous sedimentary cover and Cenozoic igneous rocks of post-obduction age. This study provides kinematic constraints for displacements and rotations affecting the Serbian part of the West Vardar and Jadar-Kopaonik units after the closure of the Neotethyan (= Sava) Ocean. CC-PESTO: a novel GIS-based method for assessing the vulnerability of karst groundwater resources to the effects of climate change
The new GIS-based CC-PESTO method is shown to successfully assess and map the vulnerability/resilience of karst aquifers to effects of climate change. Karst aquifers were chosen due to their importance at the global level and widespread utilisation in potable water supply and irrigation, but also because of their hydrogeological complexity. The method was developed to assess the intrinsic vulnerability of aquifers, without considering the direct impact of variable climate factors, but considering the adaptive capacity of aquifers in response ...Zoran Stevanović, Veljko Marinović, Jelena Krstajić. Vulnerability methods in hard rock formation as a basis for groundwater risk assessment – from resource to source
Groundwater in a hard rock formation is most endangered at places where a potential source can discharge contaminants that can reach the saturated zone of an aquifer. In these circumstances, an essential tool for groundwater protection is the contamination risk map. This map is based on the integration of two maps: a hazards map, i.e., map of potential sources of contamination and a vulnerability map. The selection of a proper vulnerability method is an important task since the resulting ...karta rizika od kontaminacije, ranjivosti podzemnih voda, DRASTIC, EPIK, PI, COP, Nacionalni park TaraVladimir Živanović, Igor Jemcov, Veselin Dragišić. Strategic Environmental Assessment in the Application of Preventive Protection for Wind Farm Noise—Case Study: Maestrale Ring Wind Farm
Determining the spatial position of wind turbines is the initial and most important phase in the development of a wind farm project. In this sensitive phase, all potential problems that may arise in the later stages of project development should be prevented by means of spatial and urban planning instruments. This makes it possible to achieve maximum use of the potential of wind in a particular space and, thus, fulfil the technical and economic requirements of the project while ...Energija,energetski inženjering i elektroenergetska tehnologija, obnovljivi izvori energije, održivost i životna sredina, električni i elektronski inženjering, kontrola i optimizacija,inženjering... Assessing Criteria Weights by the Symmetry Point of Criterion (Novel SPC Method) - Application in the Efficiency Evaluation of the Mineral Deposit Multi-Criteria Partitioning Algorithm
Information about the relative importance of each criterion or the weights of criteria can have a significant influence on the ultimate rank of alternatives. Accordingly, assessing the weights of criteria is a very important task in solving multi-criteria decision-making problems. Three methods are commonly used for assessing the weights of criteria: objective, subjective, and integrated methods. In this study, an objective approach is proposed to assess the weights of criteria, called SPC method (Symmetry Point of Criterion). AR, CR and ARCR modeling for simulations and analyses of karst groundwater quality parameters
Although an invisible component of the hydrologic cycle, groundwater generally takes precedence over other water resources in the area of drinking water supply. Among groundwater resources, karst aquifers tend to be rich in sufficiently-accessible amounts of high-quality water. During most of the year, this water requires only disinfection prior to delivery to the end user. However, in many cases extreme rainfall and/or sudden snow melt results in transient turbidity, increase in bacterial count and temporary contamination (e.g. increase in ...autocorrelation, cross-correlation, autoregressive model, cross-regressive model, autocross regressive model, nitrates, Banja Spring, Serbia.Vesna Ristić-Vakanjac, Marina Ćokorilo-Ilić, Petar Papić, Dušan Polomčić, Radisav Golubović. Upper Miocene depositional environments of the Kikinda-Mokrin High (Serbia)
Saša Ivanišević, Dejan Radivojević (2018)Exploration for oil and gas in mature areas, such as the Pannonian Basin, can benefit from reexamination of old data using more advanced modern workflows that focus on the temporal and spatial aspects of sediment deposition. Specifically, we apply a new environment of deposition model that interprets the Upper Miocene- Pliocene sediments as being deposited in a rapidly filling basin characterized by quick shelf edge progradation from the northwest toward the southeast.
