Back-arc underplating provided crustal accretion affecting topography and sedimentation in the Adria microplate
Paolo Mancinelli, Vittorio Scisciani, Cristina Pauselli, Gérard M. Stampfli, Fabio Speranza, Ivana Vasiljević (2021)Supported by evidence of deep crustal sources for the observed magnetic anomalies in Central Italy and by outcropping gabbros in the Croatian archipelago, we model the observed gravity and magnetic anomalies in the Central Adriatic Sea and surroundings. We suggest that the major magnetic anomalies in the area are related to a wide underplating and propose that this volume represents the first stage of the back-arc Adria continental breakup in Early Permian times. During the Palaeotethys-Adria collision, underplating has ...... mantle (3200 kg m−3), ρx is the density of the underplated body (2900 kg m−3) and ρw is the density of water (1030 kg m−3) (Watts, 2001). Table 2 shows the estimated uplift due to under- plated material thickness ranging between 2 and 25 km. If a regional uplift is assumed to be ~700 m due to the basal ...

Freeze-dried nanocrystal dispersion of novel deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone ligand (DK-I-56-1): Process parameters and lyoprotectant selection through the stability study
Jelena R. Mitrović, Maja Bjelošević Žiberna, Aleksandar Vukadinović, Daniel E. Knutson, Dishary Sharmin, Aleksandar Kremenović, Pegi Ahlin Grabnar, Odon Planinšek, Dominique Lunter, James M. Cook, Miroslav M. Savić, Snežana D. Savić (2023)Recently, nanocrystal dispersions have been considered as a promising formulation strategy to improve the bioavailability of the deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone ligand DK-I-56-1 (7‑methoxy-2-(4‑methoxy-d3-phenyl)-2,5-dihydro-3H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolin-3-one). In the current study, the freeze-drying process (formulation and process parameters) was investigated to improve the storage stability of the previously developed formulation. Different combinations of lyoprotectant (sucrose or trehalose) and bulking agent (mannitol) were varied while formulations were freeze-dried under two conditions (primary drying at -10 or -45 °C). The obtained lyophilizates were characterized in terms ...... mannitol 5% (M 5%), mannitol 10% (M 10%), sucrose 10% (S 10%), sucrose and mannitolin ratio 2:1 in total concentration 10%(S+M2 + 1 10%), sucrose and mannitol in ratio 3:2 in total concentration 10% (S+M 3 + 2 10%), sucrose and mannitol in ratio 1:1 in total concen- tration 10% (S+M 1 + 1 10%) ...
... 6% (S+M 2 + 1 6%). In second lyophilization (lyophili- zation-2) following excipients were added in total concentration 10%: sucrose (S), sucrose and mannitol in ratio 1:1 (S+M 1 + 1), sucrose and mannitol in ratio 3:2 (S+M 3 + 2), trehalose (T), trehalose and mannitol in ratio 1:1 (T+M 1 + 1) ...
... mannitol at a total concentration of 10% (S+M 2 + 1 10%, S+M 3 + 2 10%, and S+M 1 + 1 10%). The particle size remained almost the same and the PDI was less than 0.200, indicating uniform particle size. However, at a sucrose to mannitol ratio of 2 to 1 (S+M 2 + 1 10%), the cake collapsed, which was ...Jelena R. Mitrović, Maja Bjelošević Žiberna, Aleksandar Vukadinović, Daniel E. Overcoming the Low Oral Bioavailability of Deuterated Pyrazoloquinolinone Ligand DK-I-60-3 by Nanonization: A Knowledge-Based Approach

Savić, Snežana D. Savić (2021)Poor water solubility of new chemical entities is considered as one of the main obstacles in drug development, as it usually leads to low bioavailability after administration. To overcome these problems, the selection of the appropriate formulation technology needs to be based on the physicochemical properties of the drug and introduced in the early stages of drug research. One example of the new potential drug substance with poor solubility is DK-I-60-3, deuterated pyrazoloquinolinone, designed for the treatment of various neuropsychiatric ...Jelena R. Analysis of the intensity of erosive processes and state of vegetation cover in the zone of influence of the Kolubara Mining Basin
Milica Živanović, Miško M. Milanović, Branislav Trivić, Snežana Đurđić, Miroljub Milinčić, Milisav Tomić, Goran Grozdanić (2024)Ensuring the quality protection of geospatial elements entails environmental control, a task unattainable without precise measurement results. This article aims to conduct a spatio-temporal analysis of soil degradation and vegetation status within the influence zone of the Kolubara Mining Basin in Serbia. Remote sensing is employed to assess vulnerability to erosion using the erosion potential method. A geographic information system environment is utilized to generate an erosion map, illustrating erosive processes across different time periods, particularly comparing the present situation (2022) to 1983. Results indicate that observed areas are experiencing ...Milica Živanović, Miško M. Milanović, Branislav Trivić, Snežana Đurđić, Miroljub Milinčić, Milisav Tomić, Goran Grozdanić. Životić (2020)Self-heating of coal waste is a major problem in the leading coal-producing and consuming countries, independent of the recent or past coal exploitation history. The phenomenon of self-heating is dependent on many factors such as the properties of organic matter (maceral composition and rank), moisture and pyrite content, climate effects, and storage conditions (shape of the dump or compaction of the coal waste). Once deposited, coal waste undergoes oxidation, which can lead to self- heating with the overall temperatures ...... ti ng to bo th 20 15 an d 20 16 R ou nd R ob in Ex er ci se s. 20 15 20 16 M in .
