An Approach to Efficient Processing of Multi-Word Units
Efficient processing of Multi-Word Units in the course of development of morphological MWU dictionaries is not easy to achieve, especially when languages with complex morphological structures are concerned, such as Serbian. Manual development of this type of dictionaries is a tedious and extremely slow process. To alleviate this problem we turned to our multipurpose software tool, dubbed LeXimir, in the production of lemmas for e-dictionaries of multi-word units. In addition to that, we developed a procedure aimed at making ...... tool, dubbed LeXimir, in the production of lemmas for e-dictionaries of multi-word units. Business Models for Small-scale Biomass Projects Development
Biomass is recognized as the most promising renewable energy source in Serbia. The share of biomass in Serbian final energy consumption is over 10%, but mostly related to traditional use in stoves and ovens. One of the main obstacles for wider implementation of contemporary biomass facilities is the inexperience of consumers and stakeholders in the implementation of “innovative” business models, especially in the cases of small-scale projects. In this paper, three different business models (public utility company, energy cooperative ...... term. Numerical Models of Debris Flows with Entrainment Analysis-Case Studies from the Republic of Serbia
The results of material entrainment analysis in RAMMS debris flow software, as well as numerical models of final flow heights for two case studies from the Republic of Serbia are presented. Both of debris flow cases started with initial sliding of huge volume block, prolonging to behave as flowing process. Results of the analysis showed that entrainment material affects final results of transportation model, runout distance, deposition area and volume of debris flow. In both cases entrainment volume is very ...Jelka Krušić , Biljana Abolmasov, Miloš Marjanović. The Importance of Geotechnical Investigations for the Construction of Transfer Station „Prelići“ on Landfill in Cacak – Serbia
For the purpose of the facilities construction within the transfer station „Prelici“ in Cacak, specific geotechnical investigations were carried out based on which the technological project with the facilities schedule was developed. Significant deviations in relation to the presented results were determined during earthworks, so the additional geotechnical investigation works were carried out. Since the new investigation works have determined a different cross section of the terrain, it was proposed to move the planned facilities which led to the ...... stations, as it was performed at the city landfill in Cacak. Numerical modeling of Selanac debris flow propagation using SPH code
The Selanac debris flow is a very huge event triggered after extreme rainfall caused by Cyclone Tamara activity in the Republic of Serbia in May 2014. The Selanac case study was already modelling in different programs using Voellmy rheology assumptions like RAMMS software. Main rheological parameters are back-calculated using also ...... debris flow is longer than the measured run-out distance obtained by the simulation model. Self-Engineering: Possibilities for Maintenance Operations in the Mining Machines Industry
Self-engineering is a relatively new branch of knowledge that aims to understand how systems could “autonomously” re-configure or repair themselves without the intervention of the operators. A direct field of application is within the maintenance spectrum. Having systems or machines capable of self-detecting or even self-repairing could represent a game-changer, in capital asset fields such as the mining industry in particular. This paper aims to investigate the possible benefits and challenges of self-engineering / self-maintenance concerning mining machines, specifically bucket-wheel ...self-engineering, self-maintenance, maintenance operations, mining industry, bucket-wheel excavator, gearbox revitalizationSteven Manders, Milorad Pantelić, Vladimir Milisavljević, Alberto Martinetti. Towards Automatic Definition Extraction for Serbian
Improving Document Retrieval in Large Domain Specific Textual Databases Using Lexical Resources
Large collections of textual documents represent an example of big data that requires the solution of three basic problems: the representation of documents, the representation of information needs and the matching of the two representations. Effects of Energy Production and Consumption on Air Pollution in Serbia
Marija Živković (2019)Energy production and combustion, mostly from unregulated or inefficient fuel combustion, are the single most important anthropogenic sources of air pollutant emissions. Energy sector in Serbia is highly fossil fuel intensive: 87.88% of energy consumed in Serbia is related to fossil fuels, while almost 95% of energy sources are combusted. In 2017. energy related carbon dioxide emission in Serbia is was 47.95 million tones. The main source of carbon dioxide emission was coal, responsible for almost 70% of energy ...... directly or after they are transformed into other pollutants in the atmosphere.
