Facies analyses, biostratigraphy and radiometric dating of the Lower-Middle Miocene succession near Zajecar (Dacian basin, eastern Serbia)

Middle Jurassic terebratulide brachiopods from the Jordan Valley (northwestern Jordan)
U radu je izvršena revizija i detaljan opis srednjojurskih brahiopoda Jordanske doline, a takodje su izdvojeni i novi taksoni. Sa profila Arda iz gornjeg bata (Hamam formacija) i donjeg keloveja (Muganija formacija) odredjeni su novi rod i vrsta Jordanithyris ardainensis. Iz gornjeg bata Hamam formacije (krečnjaci, dolomiti, peščari i laporci) izdvojena je vrsta Ptyctothyris quillyensis. Zajednica koju čine Arabatia bihinensis, Ectyphoria sinaiensis, Ptyctothyris quillyensis, Dorsoplicathyris dorsoplicata i Tubithyris jurayfahiensis potiče iz donjokelovejskih krečnjaka sa proslojcima laporaca Muganija formacije. The lost freshwater goby fish fauna (Teleostei, Gobiidae) from the early Miocene of Klinci (Serbia)
Freshwater gobies played an important role in the Miocene paleolakes of central and southeastern Europe. Much data have been gathered from isolated otoliths, but articulated skeletons are relatively rare. Here, we review a rich assemblage of articulated gobies with abundant otoliths in situ from the late early Miocene lake deposits of Klinci in the Valjevo freshwater lake of the Valjevo-Mionica Basin of Serbia. Post-collisional Cenozoic magmatic activity in NW Anatolia produced widespread volcanism across the region. In the Biga Peninsula, in the west, medium-K calc-alkaline to ultra-K rocks with orogenic geochemical signature were emplaced at ~43–15 Ma (Biga orogenic volcanic rocks; BOVR).
